Whats There not to "Like" in the world of facebbok!!

It took me 4 days to read and figure out what Facebook`s New privacy options were all about and how would they impact me!Here is the link if any one of you finally decides to "read for himself/herself"!! http://www.facebook.com/policy.php
Ever since the dawn of the "E- ERA" people have been trying to used the net for their own agendas. We receive so many chain- forward messages and spam mails daily about so many sensitive issues which most of the time does not contain true information. They misguide us for either "commercial profits" or just to mess with our heads.I am highlighting few issues here and hope you guys do your homework too.

1. Transactional Information. We may retain the details of transactions or payments you make on Facebook. If you do not want us to store your payment source account number, you can remove it using your payments page. [That means if someone else gets access to my account(mostly happen when many people share a LAN connection or DSL, one of the sharer`s profile may open in you profile`s place) he/she will know all my transaction and besides how much money I spend and where I spent it could be collected through Facebook and can be used by anyone for their own agenda`s.But thanks to Facebook we could remove this info!!my point is why do they even save it in the first place if they are not up to something!!People usually dont read long pages with so much legal stuff,so they dont know that FB is saving their info, and if they dont know its been saved then how would they "remove" it!! ]

Access Device and Browser Information. When you access Facebook from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit.[Yeah and why would they want to know what pages i visited?? isnt it enough that I already share so much info on their site. Now they want my browser too!!They are compiling info from all the people of the world for their own "commercial usage" and selling it to marketing companies. This info can also be used by notorious groups who have hidden agenda`s.(Remember how they used to track people and link them to terrorists just on the basis of large transactions to their homeland or their curiosity about religion or true existence of such groups)

Information from other websites. We may institute programs with advertising partners and other websites in which they share information with us:
  • We may ask advertisers to tell us how our users responded to the ads we showed them (and for comparison purposes, how other users who didn’t see the ads acted on their site). This data sharing, commonly known as “conversion tracking,” helps us measure our advertising effectiveness and improve the quality of the advertisements you see.
  • We may receive information about whether or not you’ve seen or interacted with certain ads on other sites in order to measure the effectiveness of those ads.

If in any of these cases we receive data that we do not already have, we will “anonymize” it within 180 days, meaning we will stop associating the information with any particular user. If we institute these programs, we will only use the information in the ways we explain in the “How We Use Your Information” section below.[180 days???literally that would ease all the "worries" i have for my privacy!!]

Other. Here are some other things to remember:

  • Some of the content you share and the actions you take will show up on your friends’ home pages and other pages they visit.
  • If another user tags you in a photo or video or at a place, you can remove the tag. You can also limit who can see that you have been tagged on your profile from your privacy settings.
  • Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users.
  • You understand that information might be reshared or copied by other users.
Certain types of communications that you send to other users cannot be removed, such as messages.[Copies of information remain viewable ??? till it serves its purpose!!another pitfall.Even if I delete my account its useless! Why should the pictures and other data could be copied by people??there should be some restriction that nobody could copy it or use it!!]

Backup copies. Removed and deleted information may persist in backup copies for up to 90 days, but will not be available to others.[And thats the topping!!]

8. How We Protect Information

We do our best to keep your information secure, but we need your help. For more detailed information about staying safe on Facebook, visit the Facebook Security Page.

Steps we take to keep your information secure. We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers and passwords), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We also use automated and social measures to enhance security, such as analyzing account behavior for fraudulent or otherwise anomalous behavior, may limit use of site features in response to possible signs of abuse, may remove inappropriate content or links to illegal content, and may suspend or disable accounts for violations of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

Risks inherent in sharing information. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you share your information. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information. We cannot ensure that information you share on Facebook will not become publicly available. We are not responsible for third party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures on Facebook. You can reduce these risks by using common sense security practices such as choosing a strong password, using different passwords for different services, and using up to date antivirus software.

Report Violations. You should report any security violations to us on this help page.

And even after all this they still want us to believe"They protect our information"!!

Well, FB may not have the perfect privacy settings but we cant blame them for everything we "dont read"!! can we??If we read before accepting, this would not happen at first place.Everything has its good points and bad.Facebook has its good points too....So, before saying "yes" to everything ,know about it first.Ask them about all the clause which bothers you.And they cant force you to make an account on FB at first place!! Its your choice!

As long as I could remember,I always get essay writing in my english and urdu homework. At that time i thought "how boring!" and "why do we have to even write this stuff" and "why would someone read this crap".But when my brain switched on a new function of "realizing and rationalizing", i even could make sense of the most senseless decisions in the history of teaching! The most sophisticated answer i got from my brain for endless torture of essays was "we need to express what we think about something".The power to think.most powerful of all weapons is using your brain.
After graduation i realized how important were those small tasks.I was taught through them how to explain my emotions, feelings and thoughts to the world in most sophisticated and arranged manner.During bachelor`s education our most important function of "rationalization" is shut off ....we no longer write or express our feeling/thinking about stuff, its like we don't exist... either we accept the system as it is or the world around us or feel trapped in it! expression of emotions and feeling is equally important in our growth throughout life. Its like I dont exists and no one care what i think or do!its the same trapped feeling which ended me a blogger...for freedom to express my point of view to people.
I am may be indeed very opinionated and so should you guys!!isnt it important what u want? what you feel? isnt this earth built for all humans and everyone should have a say?If you are paying for something would you want to have something you like or enjoy or would you have whatever they give you?obviously you will have what you want! so why not are we allowed to think differently or differ on topics? why should we follow all the rules which are mostly useless or pointless? So people start thinking and be broadminded in accepting simple and good points when they come your way....be opinionated cause you have a right too say what you think!!

well, today`s topic is very controversial issue.Let me quote some very interesting facts which i was amazed to read is that blogs in past has been banned due to comments on political parties or government and most of them were banned in Muslim countries.Reference to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog. well in past month if many of you would remember there was a big stirrup due to religious issue (RT Pakistani court orders Facebook blocked in prophet row http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8691406.stm).Yes that is exactly what i am going to write about.Since many decades mocking and blesphematic Cartoons of Prophets (Of all religions) has been published and have always called a turmoil and anger...I am totally behind all governments banning sites and publications of such topic, But the point remains till when we all remain quite on the name of "freedom of speech" and dont respects each others believes and mock each other like the other party is the lowest being on earth...If muslim governments could ban and prosecute/ charge people on political issues why cant they make all countries pass a law that "freedom of speech" should not include religion. You cant mock by making cartoons or writing your personal views about a religion.Besides mutual respect is the right of every human being so why cant we honor this? why are we still fighting over publicity stunts and hurt the emotions of the other party.I think its about time that WE put a end to this and by WE i mean all the people in the world. We have many other more important issues to take care off....So, Please stop making new ones.....

Trapped in my own mind..

I was wondering when will i loose my laziness and finally decide to write another blog or in other words when will another topic worthy of writing will come up!! so here is my opportunity.since i was a teenager, i have always thought left out of my family.they never cared what i want.but i got my way with threatening or causing a turmoil....i did get what i want most of the time but now i am realizing its the respect that was always lacking since my early days.if they would have respected me they would have gone with every decision i take...i rarely listen to other people...one of my bad habits...but on the brighter side i do read a lot of books so i am right most of the times.well, back to my original problem.I feel so trapped inside of my head.since my ideas are very different from rest of the people all over the world.always been treated like a 3rd world country citizen, but waite OOhhh , isnt it who i am??!!!well, u can fight with the whole world but not with your family.they are suppose to understand you and help... but in my case its different...every individual think he/she deserves all the good in the world and they are the most intelligent person on earth...so, did I and in this way have always made a fool of myself...now i have realized that I am not intelligent at all...in fact I am a very stupid person..i flunked fcps part 1 twice so now i have also realized my four yrs at medical college was a total waste...and financially broken also...life is tough it is but to loose the support of your family is a major breakdown....i wish i could die right now...I am so much hurt and in dilemma that suicide seems an easy way out...

First things first!

well this being my first blog, i have so many things on mind to share. But the first thing i want to share with you guys is the common problem in my country...that is "use of drugs without the prescription of a doctor or the needless use"....
Why i choose this topic has a very interesting observation attached to it.Commonly when you feel pain you go to a doctor and let him be the "doc"!! but in my side of the world (Subcontinent) people go to doctors and tell them what they want. The difference is they dont let the doc be the "doc" who has undergone such mass processes to have the knowledge and command he has to tell you what he knows is best for you.Not only that they just use the same prescription no matter how old that is again if they have for example say a headache again... Another problem. The biggest one is the palliative treatment they ask i.e. they want their symptoms to be relieved and dont want to know the real cause of that. And few people go that far off to take the drugs just by discussing with the pharmacist what symptoms far most concern them or on the advice of a someone who has experienced the same symptom and take the drug which they were prescribed and relieved the symptom. They dont know whether they have an underlying medical condition which could be exacerbated by the drug they are taking, mostly people here have peptic ulcer, renal stones or hepatitis which they are unaware of.
The whole point is to make the people aware that they should consult a doctor but do make sure he/she has a proper degree and is registered to local medical and dental council.Awareness can save lives.
